๐ŸŽ‰ CELEBRATION TIME ๐ŸŽ‰

I completed the second round of a 12 week workout!

.

These workouts are 30 minutes long and I do them four times a week, and yoga once a week.
.
They became an essential part of my life, not just for my physical wellbeing but for my emotional and mental health as well. The days I work out in the morning, I feel a lot more in my body and power. I feel super grounded and empowered.
.
I learnt to look at workout as a discipline. Itโ€™s not a matter of motivation. You do it no matter how you feel. Even when I didnโ€™t feel like working out some days, I put the video on and layed on the mat. Then I was in a situation of having started. Now I had to finish it ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
.
Just like you not getting excited over brushing your teeth, but you do it every day, right? Itโ€™s integrity too, keeping a promise you gave yourself ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
.
Of course I had days where I didnโ€™t work out due to illness or being on my period. I learnt to not beat myself up for messing up the schedule. I did the 12 week programme in maybe 17 or so weeks but who cares, that was what worked for me.
.
I developed a new sense of appreciation for my body, how much of a difference it can make when you treat your body right with movement, food and sleep.
.
For me, rather than how working out changed my body, itโ€™s more about how I feel. Sure, I love having a nice bum and abs. But feeling strong, empowered and grounded in my body is much more important and rewarding than that ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ
.
And as a bonus, I love the ego boost I get offering women to carry their suitcases up the stairs on tube ๐Ÿ˜
.
.
This movement is called cossack squat. I really struggled with this one and didnโ€™t find it as easy as it looks. Towards the end of the second round, I was able to drop into it magically while holding a kettlebell! I couldnโ€™t do it for the duration of the first round. Seeing progress like that over a long period of time is gold ๐ŸŽ‰
.
Second photo is me few weeks ago, finally doing a handstand with bit of guidance. I never ever in my life had a strong upper body, so doing something like this is huge for me.
.
.
I had so many moments I wanted to stop or not want to work out. And Iโ€™m glad I carried on. Now starting again with heavier weights next week as thereโ€™s no point of stopping something once you reach your goal. You go to the next level ๐Ÿ”ฅ
.
If youโ€™ve been committing to something but feeling frustrated and impatient about not having seen results yet, keep going. Especially when you donโ€™t feel like it. If you keep going, sooner or later you will see results ๐Ÿ˜‰
.
.
Go follow Shona Vertue ,the creator of this programme, the Vertue Method. Itโ€™s just amazing.
.
I love you ๐Ÿ’›
