Traditionally, this is a ceremony amongst women to honour the woman as she’s becoming a bride. .

The bride walks in followed by her close female friends holding candles. They gather around in a circle as a specific song plays. An older family relative puts the henna which is a green paste made out the leaves of the henna tree, in bride’s palms, closes them and the henna stays there for a while. Other women can put henna in their palms too, I did. Then the groom comes, celebrates the bride and they play the Turkish drum (davul lol) and dance together. It’s a super emotional ceremony and a celebration together ❤️

It was so beautiful to witness this ritual the way Hazel and her family chose to hold it 💫 #hazelfabrice .
