✨ ALLOW YOURSELF TO FEEL ✨

I had a big cry today.

I let it all out.
.
.
I miss my friends.
.
I miss dancing on the dancefloor seeing people I love around me.
.
I miss going to have coffee and having a chat with the baristas.
.
I miss going on tube and avoiding eye contact.
.
I miss sitting at the top deck on a bus putting my legs out.
.
I miss having random chats with Uber drivers.
.
I miss giving workshops in person.
.
I miss hugging someone I love for a long time.
.
.
It’s grief and sadness, loss in a way. Often it’s the little things I miss.
.
So I had a big cry and let it all out. I gave full permission for all of it to exist, to welcome and feel it all.
.
When it felt complete, I placed my hand on my heart, closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
.
I asked, “What is this showing me? What’s the truth?”
.
I got, “What I care about. I love people.”
.
Then I burst into tears again. I just love people so fcking much. I love humanity 🙏🏼
.
Then I asked, “What do I do?”
.
I got, “You serve. Pour that love into service for people.”
.
Obviously whilst taking care of myself too 😄
.
.
I often find the biggest healing is bringing your heart into the world. Scariest but the most healing. This is how I do that.
.
Everything I do, coaching, breathwork, writing, dance etc, they all come from the love of humanity 💛
.
.
Just like any other emotion, grief just wants to be felt, it wants to be acknowledged. The loss shows you what matters to you and what’s in your heart, if you choose to go there.
.
Being grateful for what you have, your job, family, loved ones etc is great. I’m all for gratitude 🙏🏼 However sometimes, it can be a surface level positive distraction from being honest with how you’re really feeling.
.
Allow yourself time and space to feel it all. Stop scrolling, stop shopping, stop whatever you do to distract yourself and be present with how you are feeling.
.
Take a deep breath and allow it all to be there.
.
When you felt it all, ask,
.✨ “What is this showing me?”
.
You can always take a lesson away from anything. Then ask,
.✨ “What would serve me?”
.
And follow that 💫
.
