⭐️ PREPARATION VS EXECUTION ⭐️

This is what kicks my ass every week 🔥

I have days where I don’t feel like working out at all. I wake up and for a moment, I contemplate skipping.
.
I go into, “Well if I meditate for longer that might replace the effect.” (The stuff Ego comes up with 😂). Or I tell myself, “I’m not feeling it today, I’ll do it tomorrow.”
.
They feel pretty convincing in the moment but I’ve fallen down the trap many times and saw where it took me - no workout 😄
.
Then I have days where I’m super excited to work out, geniunely can’t wait! Because I know how good it feels. As soon as I lay down on the mat, I feel it in my body that I’m doing something amazing for my mind, body and spirit.
.
But I don’t depend on that feeling. I don’t look for the excitement or motivation to do it. Especially in the beginning when it was a pain in the ass and everything hurt.
.
It’s like questioning whether you’re lacking motivation to brush your teeth in the morning, you just do it 😄
.
.
If you’re WAITING to feel inspired, aligned, motivated to do something, you might never start.
.
I’m not saying push through. I’m saying rather than focusing on the preparation phase, focus on the execution phase. Looking for motivation is preparation. Working out is the execution.

When you stick to it, you’ll start to trust yourself more seeing you can show up for yourself and your life. Then it’s a snowball effect from there ✌🏼

My WHY behind working out regularly is to unlock my full physical potential, so my Soul can truly thrive and come alive. To connect my mind, body, spirit so all can flow and work together which means I can show up more for my clients, workshops and for all parts of my life.

I always want to grow and expand beyond what I know, so anything that supports me in that, I’m in ✨

The workout I do is @shonavertue’s 12 week program which has a great support system in a FB group. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for weight training 🙏🏼
