✨ LOVING SOMEONE FOR WHO THEY ARE VS LOVING SOMEONE FOR THEIR POTENTIAL ✨
Loving someone for who they are in this moment ✨ requires unconditional love.
.
It’s not about resolving our childhood trauma but loving from a whole and complete place not needing anything.
.
There is no reason to love but to love just for the sake of love.
.
This is not to say love everything they do. It’s also important to have values, boundaries and seeing how compatible you are to share a connection together 🙏🏼
.
.
Loving someone for their potential ✨ is bound for dissapointment.
.
It can also make the other person feel not good enough. You might fall in love with their potential hoping that they change one day. It’s more convenient to ignore reality until you can’t.
.
I did this one a lot. The moment I had a look at honest reality of someone, the truth was obvious. It was heartbreaking but serves everyone in the long run.
.
The quicker you are honest with someone’s actuality, the clearer you see whether you can love who they are now or not.
.
.
If you can, love them with all your heart while staying true to yourself ✨
.
If you can’t, it’s totally cool. Let the shame or guilt go. It’s your life and you’re free to do what you want ✨
.
Love you 💛
