The other day, I was listening to Aubrey Marcus’ podcast.

This really stayed with me:
.✨ “The thing you love the least about yourself is the ceiling on your self love.” ✨

Self-love is a life long journey.
.
It’s not a thing you read a book on and then you’re sorted - you love yourself forever.
.
It’s about keeping on loving yourself as you uncover parts of yourself that you might feel shame, judgement or guilt around.
.
Just when I think I nailed self-love, nearly every time, I’m shown an aspect of myself I haven’t accepted and loved yet and here we dive in again 😄

Can you love yourself when you first wake up in the morning?
.
Can you love yourself when your body doesn’t look how you want it to look?
.
Can you love yourself when you’re not being productive?
.
Can you love yourself when you feel angry or jealous?
.
Can you love yourself when you made a mistake?
.
Can you love yourself when you’re acting out of Ego?
.
That’s self-love.
.
.
Or is your love conditional when you’re doing/being/feeling in a way that is easy to love?
.
.
We have our darkness and our light. Both are equally important.
.
Our lightest lightness will be the same amount as our darkest darkness. The light cannot exist without the darkness, but the darkness can.
.
It’s about honouring the whole spectrum of our humanness and having love for ourselves even in our dark moments ✨

So how do you love yourself?
.
You become the parents for your inner girl/boy and give them love in a way they wish they received.
.
Treat yourself like someone you love. Talk to yourself in a way you’d talk to a loved one ❤️
.
Give yourself the care, love and acceptance you might seek from the outside ✨
.
Hold yourself and hug yourself. Caress your body and face 🥰
.
Tell the little girl/boy in you, you’re loved and perfect as you are 💫
.
It’s a life long journey and it’s so worthwhile to take it 🤗
