I made an altar for the dance yesterday ✨

.

Altar is an art piece you have in the room while you dance. It’s there to support you or guide you in your dance. It’s what you want it to be. I feel an altar makes the whole experience much more sacred and divine.
.
Making them for me is a way of giving back to the community and the dancefloor. I changed so much through these dances, so it’s an honour to offer an altar πŸ™πŸΌ
.
When I make them, I feel into what quote I want to have on it that will be in the energy of that evening. I handwrite that. Then I go to Hampstead Heath and intuitively pick what I’m drawn to, leaves, acorns etc. I bring soil, candles and something to eat with me. Because I’m Turkish and I like feeding people πŸ˜ƒ
.
I love nurturing people with love and nourishment. Yesterday after the dance, my friend messaged me her experience of the altar. It touched me deeply. I want to share with you anonymously with her permission πŸ‘‡πŸΌ
.
.
β€œIt was such a gift I danced and sat with altar, I touched the leaves in stillness it touched me, I touched the soil and it me, the twigs and it me. And I allowed it to soak into the depths of my being and those words into my core.
.
As I ate the watermelon at the end of the dance intending to keep the seeds so as to mark what feels like seeds of a new start... there was so no seed and then it landed ... I am the seed ❀️I am the seed the Divine planted.
.
So many nuggets landed as I took and gave blessings to the altar.”
.
.
I intend to bring more rituals and sacredness into my life by slowing down, being present, noticing the little magical moments, connecting with nature, being in wonder and curiosity..
.
How would you like to create more rituals and sacredness in your life?
.
I love you πŸ’›
