✨ OVERWHELM vs SURRENDER ✨

Overhelm is an overload of information. It happens when you feel out of control.

.

Your Ego creates it to make itself feel you’re in charge again. You feel in control by being out of control. It’s the two opposite ends of the same thing.

.

On the other hand, there is surrender. You don’t know what’s going to happen, but you trust that you’re held and you’re safe. You don’t know all the answers and you’re ok with that. You let go of the need to know. We’re all clueless anyway.

.

You know that it always worked out and will always work out. You know what has brought you here will also take you to where you’re meant to go. And you know you’re never alone, always supported.

.

Overwhelm can feel safe, it’s a known territory. It keeps you where you’re at. It doesn’t take you to the next level. Whereas, surrender can feel scary. It can make you feel vulnerable, raw and naked. It’s also one of the best feelings in the world, in my opinion. In surrendering, you receive everything you ever wished for and so much more 🤗

.

Over the past few days A LOT happened in my life.

.

I gave a breathwork journey, went to 2 days long training, went to a epic birthday party, had dinner with my lovely friends and started giving breathwork classes at a beautiful studio. All back to back with very little sleep.

.

So I know if a lot is happening my default mode is to go into overhelm because things are happening so fast out of my control. So my Ego feels in charge by creating an overhelm. It doesn’t serve me though.

.

The day after holding a big breathwork, I usually take the whole day off. Instead of doing that, I went to a day long training. In the evening, I was so tired. I didn’t pay attention and I got myself locked in Regent’s Park and had to climb the fence 😂

.

I got home and my Ego was telling me to not to go to my friend’s birthday celebration. I asked myself “What would I love?”. I got, have a nap, then go and have fun. I saw myself talking to my friends, connecting, laughing a lot and having a great. So I took a nap, got ready and went. I had the best time ❤️

.

(This is not to say, you shouldn’t take care of yourself and always go to parties, it was true for me to go in this instance. Then I had a massive rest yesterday 🙌🏼)

.

I’m very proud of myself actually that this is one of the few times overhelm didn’t happen and it’s not by luck, I used steps to get here and applied them. So here’s how I did it so you can start using it too:

.

- If you have a lot planned, look at your calendar AHEAD OF TIME and see what it brings up in you. You catch overwhelm ahead of time if you know what’s happening. If not, follow these steps in the moment.

- Close your eyes and notice what’s present in you. What are you telling yourself? How are you feeling?

- Just notice them. Take few more deep breaths as you do. Treat them like a little scared child. Listen and hear them.

- Then close your eyes. Take a deep breath.

- Imagine a golden ball of light above your head shining bright. This is your greatness, your higher self, who you truly are. It slowly descends onto your body. As it touches your head, your whole body lights up. You’re free of everything, free of the past and future. You’re just here and now.

- In this space, tell yourself, “I get my energy from a higher source.” and imagine energy and joy above your head pouring into you. The same higher source is the same force that supports you at all times.

- Now ask yourself, “What would I love?” This is to connect with your heart.

- Whatever action you got, follow through on that even if it doesn’t make sense.

If you’re someone who tends to do a lot and then gets super stressed and anxious, I work with people who do this. Because I am wired this way, I tend to attract clients who wants to create more and go million miles an hour 😂

.

I help them create more by doing less, while you feel its a natural pull rather than a push. Less control and stress, more surrender and joy 🎉

If this is you, message me. I have spots available for 1-1 coaching until the end of the year and beyond ❤️
