✨ WHAT I LEARNT FROM DOING PUZZLE ✨
Last week I completed a 1000 piece puzzle! 😍
.
I looved making puzzles when I was little, so I wanted to get back into it.
.
I find it so incredibly therapeutic. I turned it into a sacred time in the evenings. I would finish work, meditate and light candles before starting. Then I would put on @dejablupodcast which is just pure love. I cried so many times listening to it ✨
.
.
So here’s what I learnt from doing this puzzle which can be appliable to life I feel:
.
💫 SOMETIMES WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR IS NOT WHAT YOU NEED.
.
- I was forever looking for this one piece. Turns out, a completely different piece was what was needed.
.
💫 IF YOU ONLY FOCUS ON THE DETAILS, YOU MIGHT LOOSE THE BIG PICTURE.
.
- I was leaning into a group of pieces for a while. I stood up, looked down at the whole thing and realised the piece I was looking for somewhere far away while I was sucked into the detail.
.
💫 FOCUS ON THE ENJOYMENT RATHER THAN GETTING IT DONE.
.
- When I first started, I was focusing on getting it done. Then I realised, it was about enjoying being in this sacred space, making the puzzle and receiving the wisdom in the podcast. It filled my evenings with magic.
.💫 WHERE YOU LOOK FOR ANSWERS MIGHT NOT BE WHERE YOU’LL FIND THEM.
.
- I had a moment where I was trying to find a piece for the left side. For ages, I tried putting pieces on that side to then realise it was meant to go to the right side.
.
💫 THINGS GET BETTER IF YOU KEEP GOING. IF YOU STOP, NOTHING CHANGES.
.
- There were many moments where I felt like nothing was changing. I would spend an hour trying to put in a piece. When I finished it, I remembered when I wanted to stop and I laughed.
.
.
As I came to the last piece, I set an intention. I closed my eyes and I prayed. I then placed the piece in and looked into the wolf’s eyes sending out my intention the world 🐺
.
If you stay open and curious, you can learn from anything you do. You can also bring ritual and sacredness to anything you do.
.
Love you 💛
