I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH TIME

My Ego often tells me, “I don’t have enough time.”

.

When I’m really honest with myself, I realise I DO have time but my Ego distracts me and spends time on things which don’t matter.
.
It looks at my schedule and goes, “Well, those two hours won’t be enough time to do it.”
.
So I don’t do it all together 😄
.
Then I acknowledge how my Ego just doesn’t want me to do it and tries to rationalise my way out of it. I take a deep breath and ask, “What can I do right now that will serve me?”
.
It’s often the accumulation of the little steps that make the difference.
.
On a practical level, learning about those two laws were a gamechanger for me 🙏🏼

80% of your results will come from 20% of our actions. Often we come up with things to do to avoid the important. When actually, most of our true end results come from the 20% of our actions.

The task will take up as much time as we give it. This is the magic of productivity right before a deadline because there is limited time left. If you give one hour to a task, you’ll complete in one hour. If you give it three days, you’ll complete in three days.
.
.
You can also ask,
.✨ AM I BEING PRODUCTIVE OR AM I KEEPING MYSELF BUSY?
.
Answering emails is my number one way of keeping myself busy to avoid doing the important 😄 My Ego loves it as it creates the illusion of I’m on it. It’s a necessary part of the business, but it doesn’t move the needle forward in the big picture.
.
.
So identify the most important tasks, give them short, clear deadlines and check in with yourself to stick to the important stuff that make the difference.
.
Would love to hear your thoughts on this 🙏🏼

Love you 😍
